Something about the Life

About stress 4

Stress first reveals itself as anxiety. This in turn causes multiple bodily symptoms as stress may cause the organism to go to a state of ultimate readiness. We are ready to act – fight or flee.

Your pulse heightens, muscles become tense, general agitation grows, feet-legs become sweaty. In a state of constant stress, your digestive system also suffers, because you are in a constant situation of fighting and the digestive system is not as important. All of your brain power is spent on supporting fighting behaviour. Being in a state of high stress means that you are not able to reason as you’d normally reason and thus, one makes better and more sensible decisions when feeling in peace. Anxiety is a normal and necessary reaction in certain situations, this is necessary to ensure an efficient way of regaining control.

It is important to face the stress-inducing situation and to solve it, otherwise you will avoid similar situations in the future and will feel on edge due to it.

It is also important to manage your emotions and feelings, to keep a positive state of mind. In case you feel scared and angry, everything around you will feel the same.

It is not possible to change the surrounding world, but it is possible to change your own behaviour.

About Occurrences

Occurrences consist of different experiences, situations, thoughts, and emotions. Occurrences can be positive or negative. Occurrences can be realistic or a product of your imagination. Occurrences can act as both a stressor as well as a trigger (a switch, a pusher ) the latter of which refers to the creation of a reaction or process, making it the most suitable expression to use.

Stress is not caused by things and situations themselves, but rather, your interpretation and reaction to them.

About stress

Stress has been interpreted in various ways.

It is thought that stress is caused by unexpected life events as well as the reactions following such events, including emotional tensions and feelings. Stress can be caused by situations that make You feel as if You are unable to cope which, in turn, disturbs the inner balance of Your being. You are unable to adapt to the new set of circumstances and can’t find ways to address and solve the situation.

Anything that causes You to experience stress can be called a stressor. The experience of stress itself, however, is the combination of the emotions and reactions brought about by a stressor. You could view stress as an unintended response to both internal and external forces that have either put Your body’s resilience to the test or pushed it to the limit of what You are able to tolerate. Your expectations and understanding of the situation, together with the importance You attach to it, have a considerable impact on the emotions that accompany stress. A situation which may appear as a stressor to You may be seen as a challenge by another. Coping with stress requires the ability to reassess the situation, control Your emotions, perhaps alter some values and beliefs, find a new balance and set new goals.

What You consider to be stressful could cause another person to feel excited.
