Even when you have blocked out all outside noises, it doesn’t mean you have achieved the state of inner silence. Your mind is full of different feelings and ideas, you may feel confused, or you experience a total chaos in your life. You can enjoy inner silence when your thoughts slowly and deliberately fade away. This can be achieved through deep meditation.
Inner silence doesn’t mean that you prevent your thoughts from moving and emerging, it means you have gained victory over your false attitudes.
Inner silence means the skill to silence your inner voice. It's important to keep track of the origin of your inner voice. By observing your inner voice, you can sometimes notice that it consists of half-truths – something is missing or sometimes there’s some surplus.
It's important what kind of attitude towards other people you have in your heart.
Perhaps you behave in a polite and kind manner, but deep down you think too little of other people. You have to learn things from the perspectives of other people.
Treat others as you would wish to be treated by them, behave the way you would like other people to behave with you.
