Self-observation must not be confused with knowledge.
Knowledge and observation are two different things.
You might know that you are stressed, you have a problem, a negative state, but
that does not mean you are observing this condition. You cannot change yourself
by knowing something.
Self-development often means an internal struggle with yourself.
During self-observation, you will find out what should be developed and what
negative features should be eliminated.
As your self-observation progresses, you begin to notice the various selves that
make up your temperament.
